Feast Your Eyes: June’s Best Theatre shows!

For those of you that love heading out to the theatre at the end of long workday to unwind, or on a relaxing weekend, there’s always plenty of choice in the city. From small independent shows at little theatres, to the lavish performances put on in the grand old theatres. Whether you like a musical, a comedy or a drama, there really is something for everybody.

This coming month is set to be a big one, and I’ve comprised for you a little list to make the most of what’s coming!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:

June is to be the month that the long-awaited return to the hugely popular series by J.K Rowling finally arrives. Alright, technically it’s not the return just yet, but the previews for the new West-End show are here, and whilst it may be completely sold out for bookings now, they will be releasing tickets every Friday for the following week’s run! Just make sure you’re quick on the mouse clicks when they’re released!

Performances will be running at the Palace Theatre

The Spoils

From June to mid-August, Trafalgar Studios is playing host to Hollywood star Jesse Eisenberg, as he brings his self-written tragi-comedy play The Spoils, across the Atlantic. Also starring in the play is Big Bang Theory star, and London-born Kunal Nayyar. With Jesse Eisenberg having proved himself a fantastic playwright, paired with a Hollywood cast, you can bet your pennies that this is going to be a show worth seeing!

Richard III:

There’s endless Shakespeare plays all over London, most of which can often just be the same cut-and-paste jobs over and over again. However, if ever there was a reason to check one out, how about the fact that the lead is played by none other than Ralph Fiennes? Yep, not joking the Ralph Fiennes! In what will be his third theatre performance in two years, this production of Richard III will undoubtedly be an incredible piece of theatre that shouldn’t be missed!

Performances will be running at Almeida Theatre
