Farmopolis

This floating island of shrubbery and flora opened to the public at the end of the July. The jetty will become a hub of organic creativity over the next few weeks, expect experimental supper clubs, literary salons, immersive theatre and immersive workshops. Some events are ticketed but general entry is free (a £3 charity donation is suggested).

Farmopolis is a unique collaboration between Secret Productions, who are known for co-organising award winning creative festivals, Wayward; the pioneering art, design and farming practice, and Greenwich Peninsula.

This impressive public installation rehomes a number of pieces that were on display at RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this summer. Visitors will also get the chance to take away a piece of the flower show's history.

With hopes to make the project a semi permanent one, there will also be developments made towards building a makers-space and food-incubator, large-scale events and festival spaces,  farm-to-table restaurants and major art commissions and much more.
